What’s Our Philosophy?
At Isotope we take time to try to understand what help you actually want & what support might actually be useful to you in your new business. Our job is to talk, listen & understand what is important to you & reflect that in the relationship we nurture – not just upload everything we know & expect you to conform to our idea of a “successful business”. Life just doesn’t work that way.
From the second we all meet, you can expect respect, honestly & integrity. We are confident that you will feel our sincerity & genuine interest in not only your ambitions but in you as a person as well. The person with a real family, a real mortgage & a whole host of other (very real) commitments. (Consistent theme here, hey?)

Where did our philosophy come from?
“Realistically, we know that if we don’t help to the best of our ability, a recruitment business will not generate the revenue that they set out to; which in turn means that Isotope will not earn the revenue that they set out to (since we earn our revenue, when you do!). So, if we were to take all of the empathy, professional & moral responsibility out of the equation (however hard that is to do), of course we still really want to help. But in fact, we know that if we just ignore the economics and simply try to help, everything else falls into place. This is no naïve or careless way of working either – it is our proven & deeply entrenched belief system.”
Your startup journey…
We always advise our clients (& those prospective clients we’re so lucky to talk with) to perhaps think about the Isotope approach to supporting a recruitment business in the same way they would think about their own recruitment business. Supporting a recruitment venture is a journey like any other – whether you’re launching your first recruitment business or a SpaceX rocket from downtown Huston, Texas. Both your business & that rocket are apparently aimed for Mars but be just 1% off at the start & the closest you’ll get to your goals will be disappointment & another black hole.

The constant 1%…
For all our experience, our expertise & our unwavering care, perhaps Isotope is that missing 1% – that tiny, everyday adjustment & support necessary to ensure that you and your rocket reach your goals – whether that be Mars & the stars or a fabulously successful recruitment business.

No, nope, no way! There are many ways to Mars, just ask Elon & Jeff. There are also many ways to successfully launch & scale your recruitment agency. Funnily enough Isotope have always encouraged a recruiter serious about the idea of launching their own agency to explore their options.
We believe that if Isotope are the right & most suitable option for you & your recruiter agency, if Isotope align with you & what you’re looking to do & if you get that genuine feeling the Isotope will have the interests of you & your agency at the core of everything that they do – then, after researching the different routes out there for you, you’ll return to Isotope eager to progress.
What a great question. In short, no. Sometimes during your conversations with Isotope, the prospect of working with one another might prove to be slightly misaligned. Look – we want you to feel as comfortable with us, as we are with you; we want you to feel that our professional values align & we want you to feel that you can pick up the phone & talk to Isotope about every aspect of your startup journey at any point.
We’re old enough, uglier enough & seasoned enough to know the importance of that. & we’re not naive enough to suggest that every recruiter is right for Isotope & Isotope is right for every recruiter.
Being open with you, it’s very rare that in talking with Isotope it becomes clear that this is a model that can’t help you achieve the goals you have in your new business. However there may be a small handful of occasions where the Isotope model simply doesn’t align.
If you’re looking at starting your new agency with an established headcount of 10+ from Day 1 for example or you’re looking at venturing into a market where you may have no prior experience yourself – these may be occasions where Isotope gently concede that we won’t be the right partners for you. Does it happen a lot though? No, no it does not.
Over the years we have worked with some fantastic businesses, some exceptional recruiters & most importantly some super people. Isotope know that we could work with 100s more agencies than we do right now, Isotope know what we may well be missing a trick with not accepting to work with every Tom, Dick & Jane keen to start their own agency. But we don’t. Why? Because we know that effective recruitment startup support is far more than just providing a handful of tools, resources & support to a recruiter & hoping it works out.
It’s rooted in personal, pragmatic & all encompassing support that, in reality, means that you’ll speak to someone here at Isotope every day about some aspect of your business. Now you’d only want to talk to people you actively get on with, right? Same for us.
Trust, mutual respect & partnerships. We know that if there’s trust between Isotope & our client, if there’s mutual respect between Isotope & our client, if there’s effective partnerships that underpin every conversation between Isotope & out client; business success will take care of itself.
We’ve been doing this long enough to know how important it is to get those three things right in every relationship – from the relationships Isotope have with the team here at Isotope HQ to the relationships we’re lucky enough to have with our clients – if we trust one another, respect one another & know that we’re all pulling in the same direction for that client & their business success, that’s exactly what will follow – business success. Simple.
