Your Recruitment Business Launch
This is where the talking stops and Isotope set about launching your recruitment business within an agreed timescale. We are not interested in cutting corners or working with the dreadful “that’ll do for now” mentality. We treat every stage of the launch of your business with the utmost respect & this is where the project management skills of the Isotope team really come into their own.
Launch Stage
By the time you reach the very exciting ‘launch stage’ of your business with Isotope, you would have had numerous conversations with the Isotope team. You would have spent time talking about your ideas, discussing the recruitment tools your new business might require & thinking about the type of support that is going to be valuable to you in your recruitment start-up.
Having had 101 phone calls with Isotope, face-to-face meetings with key members of the team & the occasional TEAMs call over dodgy wifi with your soon to-be Launch Manager – we’ll all have a collective understanding of you, the business you are looking to develop & the infrastructure that is going to be paramount for your startup success. It’s now time for us all to flex those “recruitment launch” muscles & get started on what is an exciting, proactive & process-driven stage within our journey together.
We’ve launched 100s of recruitment agencies over the years & would have to be right idiots not to have picked up a thing or two about how to effectively launch a recruitment agency (no comment please!) – you should expect an honest, open, clear & methodical process from start to finish.
From that first “Isotope Update” (if you’re not sure what these are, be sure to ask the Isotope team the next time you chat with them!) that outlines everything we’re going to be doing to successfully launch your new agency; through to the final update to formally close the launch stage of your business – you’ll be guided through the whole processes all while being introduced to key members of the Isotope team who will (they just will) become such important parts of your recruitment business over the years & years to come.

Well Okay Then
We will always work within the timescales that are important to you & we want to understand what they are. & with that understanding, use our experiences to guide & encourage you around when the launch process ought to commence.
But really history has shown us that it usually takes around 6-8 weeks to launch a recruitment business with Isotope. We understand there might be time pressures, things that need to be done & need to be done soon to ensure that your new business is in a position to legally & effectively trade. Our job is to keep you clearly informed, updated & part of the journey at every turn.
Whether it be a video call with your web designer, a conversation with the accounts team about ensuring you have been registered for the right business taxes or a quick chat with your Launch Manager to get an overall view of where in the Isotope launch process your business is; whatever it is, it is our duty to make the process fun, exciting & special.
We work at your pace, against a very clearly defined process that has been tried & tested over the years. What we have learnt is that this is the time to take your time, get things right but also appreciate that businesses evolve & so will your start-up. They say nothing can ever be perfect but we say, why not?
Right Houston, let’s go!
We don’t believe there is such a thing as over-communicating when it comes to the launch of your brand new recruitment agency; there will not be a day during the launch of your new agency that you will not hear from one of the fantastic team here at Isotope about some exciting aspect relating to the launch of your new agency.
We’re methodical, process-driven & fixated on the outcome; to successfully & seamlessly launch your recruitment business within the pre-agreed timescales we have collectively committed to. Here’s what you can expect from the process:

Area 1
Objective: To ensure your business is set up with the correct accounting & back office provisions & infrastructure to effectively trade, operate & grow from Day 1. From company incorporation to registering your business with the relevant business taxes (VAT, CT, PAYE – you name it, we cover it).
From incorporating the correct accounting software into your back office support within Isotope to ensuring you have registered with the relevant personal tax requirements as owner & shareholder of your new recruitment agency. If you’re looking at running temps’ from Day 1 within your agency, this is also where we’ll ensure your business have the relevant factoring & payroll provisions to do just that.

Area 2
Objective: To ensure you & your business are compliant & ready to trade without any HR hiccups while navigating whatever legal landmines your particular market might pose.
From registering your business with the appropriate compliance bodies to dealing with the relevant business insurances for your particular agency. From creating tailored & bespoke Terms of Business, policies & legal frameworks to ensuring you have all the relevant purpose-built documentation to remain compliant within your particular recruitment market. From ensuring you are working within any (& all) post-contractual obligations from your previous employment to making sure (should have staff from Day 1) the relevant HR policies, employment contracts & company handbooks are to hand.

Area 3
Objective: To ensure the visual identity of your business & website creation & development is produced in a timely, bespoke & personal manner so you can operate with pride from Day 1.
This area has always been split into two key elements;
(1) The Visual Identity of your Recruitment Agency. In sitting down with the creative team, they will begin to design everything you might class as “visual” for your recruitment startup. From your company logo, to stationary, letterheads, email signatures, social media marketing visuals, iconographic images for social media – whatever your business needs to proudly announce itself to the recruitment world.
(2) The Website creation & development for your Recruitment Agency. Once you sign off on the visual identity of your new agency, we turn our attention to the creation of your bespoke website design & development. There is no “drag & drop” templated methodology here; we’re not looking at taking a template & simply applying your logo & your colours to it – we’re far more personal than that. Having completed our detailed Website Order Form, the creative team will start on the creation of your recruitment website. To ensure that the product & service you are supplying to your candidates & clients is echoed in the online footprint you are creating from Day 1.

Area 4
Objective: To ensure you have the technology, infrastructure & recruitment tools to effectively & successfully trade within your recruitment business from Day 1.
From purchasing the correct business domains & hosting packages to creating the most appropriate email packages & anti-virus products for your new business laptop. From telecoms advice & support to allocating the right recruitment tech’ for your new startup. From job board allocation & CV resources to LinkedIn product, whatever is required to help you do what you do best – this is the Area that those tools will be allocated.
Chances are you’ll already have a very good idea of the technical elements that will be important to you in your new business – so we would encourage you to take your time in chatting with the team here to ensure the most suitable tools are allocated to you & your new business (& not just any old tools!).
Take it and run!
The launch of your recruitment agency is the most process driven element of the support provided by Isotope. While there’ll always be a splash of creativity and a dash of personality injected into any aspect of your relationship with Isotope, the launch of your recruitment agency is based on a tried & tested method; a checklist that ensures that your business goes from the ideas you and Isotope talk about, to a fully operational business in a handful of weeks.
You may be interested to understand some of the stages that go into that? You may be interested to learn a little more about the process from start to finish? If so, perhaps this downloadable checklist is right for you.

Nuffin… as my little toddler would say. &, like many situations that involve my toddler going on teenager, they’re right. The launch stage of your new recruitment agency is all part of our initial & continued investment into you & your new recruitment business – this is not simply a product that we hope to sell to any recruiter with an idea, this is stage 1 of a long & very personal journey together.
We commit to covering the cost of every aspect of your business launch because we understand that we operate a shared success model – we succeed if you succeed, we aren’t interesting in making a “quick buck” by charging you £X for the launch of your new agency. Instead we see this as the initial investment into you, your ideas & your ambitions for your new agency. We know this can leave Isotope vulnerable; we know that in spending time, resources & talent in launching an agency with no promise of return may mean that on occasion we end up coming up short but that’s business right? Shared risk, shared success.
From the moment you kickstart to the launch of your agency with Isotope, to the day that we officially confirm the launch phase of your agency is completed – we would expect that you will talk to somebody here from Isotope every day. Your primary contact will be with your Launch Manager who will be the superstar here at Isotope tasked with managing the launch of your new agency with Isotope.
Official communication (through our Isotope Updates) will often be weekly – collating what’s been done & what’s left to be done as we journey through the launch phase of your business together. But do you remember what we’ve said before? That we don’t believe there’s ever such a thing as “over communication”; within the launch phase of your agency you will feel that every step of the way.
Contractual obligations permitting with your current employer, yes. Traditionally the recruiters we support are employed in some capacity until the day in which they intend to “go live” with their new agency.
We cannot however stress the importance of ensuring that you review your current Contract of Employment to ensure that this is something that you can legally do; after all, we have far too much respect for every recruitment business out there to knowingly encourage you to breach those obligations to them. It’s not worth it!
However long you need it to take. Speaking openly we work against the timescales of the recruiter we’re lucky enough to be working with so each process can (& often is) pretty fluid. However history has shown us that a typical process takes between 6-8 weeks from the day that we commit to working together, to the day that we can successfully say you are free to legally & commercially trade within your agency.
In short, yes. While the entire process typically may take between 6-8 weeks, we have seen agencies trading within 1-2 weeks or inception. Provided that you work closely with the Isotope team, we see no reason to suggest that you can’t be trading within 14 days of inception.
