It can take months, even years for your ambitions & ideas to come to the forefront of your mind & that means it can’t be planned, timetabled or scheduled. No one can tell you ‘now’ is the right time & no one can tell you it isn’t. Sometimes it can feel like it happens seemingly instantaneously but, you & I know both know that getting to the point of being ‘ready’, is a unique & lengthy journey that only you can travel.
Each business we launch is different, each recruiter work with had their own unique ‘eureka’ moment & every motivated Entrepreneur we talk with, starts a conversation with Isotope for a different reason. After all it’s all in the DNA & while your DNA might shout & scream at times, it tends to remain unaffected by the events of today or yesterday or even tomorrow. It’s not rash, it doesn’t panic & it certainly doesn’t make a knee-jerk decision based on a few events out of their control. So, if you feel ready to start your own business – great. Is now the right time?
Within any given week, how often do you think about starting your own recruitment business? Once a week, twice a week, eight times a day?
Naturally enough if you’re serious about the prospect of your own recruitment venture, you’ll think about the idea at least once a day. At least! You have another great week - it could have been that placement you’ve been working on for weeks that finally comes to fruition, or you could have recorded another week of record GP or you could have found that new hirer for your own team that you so badly wanted. Whatever the milestone, it seems that each success pulls you back to the inevitable question – is now a good time?
You never know, perhaps now is the right time to pick up the ‘phone & talk to Isotope about the ideas & ambitions you have.
People always need jobs, companies always need support with their hiring & therefore recruitment agencies always need recruiters – right?
Despite the obvious links, employment within recruitment can be unstable at times. New owners can change the landscape of a company causing you to question your role within the agency; geographies can be shrunk, verticals halved & disciplines split causing you to question your earning potential within the agency; branches can be shut & the role you loved & gave your all too is now no longer there.
