It’s very rare that there is one cataclysmic event that pulls an exceptionally capable recruiter to start, run & develop their own recruitment agency.
In the majority of instances, it’s a slow burn business. Often taking years from that first fleeting thought, to the day you press “GO” on the launch of your own agency. Throughout that time there are however instances; situations; catalysts, that gently pull you into the realms of realising the time is right for you to launch that agency you’ve been thinking about for so long.
For Iain & his journey, this was exactly the case.
It all started 8+ years ago. After a few years working within recruitment, he got the opportunity to start, build & develop a desk from scratch for his next employer. Over the next 8 years, Iain lived & breathed the startup journey (something so many of our clients do prior to making the leap into their own agency); the highs, the lows, the struggles, the challenges – the whole journey.
While he’d thought fleeting about the idea of starting his own agency before this time, it was really in the final years of his tenure there that his mind started to wander – could I do this for myself? Could I replicate the successes we’ve enjoyed here, but retain a larger slice of the pie? With the experiences I’ve got, there are things I’d now do differently – why would I not take those experiences & pour them into my own agency?
All these questions started to come to the forefront of his mind which was when we, the Isotope team, we’re lucky enough to first start talking wit Iain. It was a big leap, leaving something familiar, something secure, something “known” & making that transition.
Yes it was the right thing to do but everything had to feel right; the tools, the infrastructure, the support, the people – after countless phone calls, number crunching & TEAMs calls during the peak of Lockdown 3.0 (ah what fun!…), we strapped in, hit launch & the rest is history.
We know the engineering market, we know the support required to allow our client to focus on what they do best & entrust Isotope to support them & their agency in every other guise. With that in mind, here are just some of the areas of support Isotope are lucky enough to work with BRG across:

“It has been nearly a year since Beason Recruitment Group was founded with the help from Max and the team at Isotope. Max was able to give me a clear and concise overview on what they could do to assist me on my journey. He did this in an extremely personable way and one that made me feel reassured in my decision to start my own recruitment business. He understood what I set out to achieve and pulled out all the stops to assist me. From our initial conversations, to the set up of the business, and to the current day, Max has been on hand to offer advice and support.
Max and all the team at Isotope have exceeded any expectations I had with their support of the business and I would recommend that anyone considering a recruitment startup should get in touch with him”

Despite his friendly demeaner, Iain “Butch” Beason is an avid recruiter by day & a boxer by night. What started as a bit of fun for a good cause, has turned into a boxing obsession. Frequently stepping in the ring for a good cause, Iain trains in the ring a few times a week in preparation for his yearly charity boxing match. Credit control? Pfft… just called Butch.

“I’ve been lucky enough to provide BRG with their accounting & back office support as part of their relationship with Isotope for the last few years & it’s in every interaction with Iain & his business that I am reminded why we support our clients the way that we do. After all, there’s a difference between providing accounting support to a recruitment business & providing the right effective & personal back office support to a recruitment startup agency. It’s more than simply a transactional service, which is why it’s always been my job (& one that I love) to not only supply BRG with the right & relevant financial information as & when they need it (whenever that might be), but to help them understand the impact of those numbers on their business & present information back that will help them plan, strategize & push forward as their business grows & develops”
